Shawna Briggs, Related Service Coordinator
Ms. Briggs holds a B.S in Biology with a minor in Business Management and a M.S. in Special Education from Mercy College. She spent eight years teaching science for general education and special needs students in New York and Pennsylvania, before transitioning to educational administration.
She is a self- described Science geek, who enjoys traveling and exploring natural landscapes.
Eileen Cannistraci, CEO
Eileen has been an educator in Pennsylvania for 25 years serving as a Teacher, Lead Teacher, Literacy Coach, Principal, and currently CEO of Insight PA Cyber Charter School. She has nine years’ experience working at the School District of Philadelphia and sixteen years in cyber education. Eileen is committed to working to ensure students receive an education that meets their needs and provides student with opportunities to achieve their goals. She is honored to serve as the CEO of Insight PA Cyber Charter School and thrilled to be a part of the inaugural year for Insight PA Cyber Charter School.
Patti Dahl, Principal
Mrs. Dahl holds a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Elementary Education from Randolph-Macon College, a Masters of Education from Cabrini College, and an Educational Leadership Certificate from the University of Pennsylvania. This is Mrs. Dahl’s 17th year in the education field, and 9th as an administrator. She has taught grades K-12 in private, public, and residential settings in both Pennsylvania and Virginia. She most recently served as the Supervisor of Special Education for a district in Berks County, PA. Mrs. Dahl enjoys reading, camping, and spending time with her children and family.
Jen Jennings, Director of Special Education Compliance
Jen is a former special education teacher who received her bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Lock Haven University in 2003. During her early teaching career, Jen developed a passion for working with students who presented with complex learning and developmental profiles and pursued a graduate degree in School Psychology from Bowie State University of Maryland. She enjoyed five years working as a school psychologist in both brick and mortar and online schools. In 2015, Jen was asked to join a special task force within the PDE Bureau of Special Education to rewrite a service guideline publication that is now an accessible resource for all PA schools. Jen joins Insight PA’s administrative team, and is dedicated to special education operations and compliance. Of the 14 years Mrs. Jennings has worked in the field of Special Education, half of her career has been within the cyber charter school model. Jen is thrilled to welcome new students and families to Insight PA, and very much looks forward to the amazing things we will achieve together as one proud ISPA family!
Johanna N. Best, State Reporting and Federal Programs Manager
Ms. Best hold a B.S. in Sport and Recreation Management with a concentration in Event Leadership from Temple University’s School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management. For over 10 years, Ms. Best has worked as an administrator supporting schools with data collection, reporting, compliance and grant management. She is an advocate for youth and high quality public education.
Dorticia Council, FAST - Family Resource Coordinator
Ms. Council holds a B.S. in Finance from Chestnut Hill College and a M.A. in Clinical Counseling Psychology with a major in Marriage and Family Therapy from LaSalle University. Her career highlights include 20+ years of civil rights compliance and enforcement with the US DHHS Office for Civil Rights, as well as academic administration as a Director of Admissions and Student Accounts Director for a small Christian College for adults. Ms. Council comes to ISPA with experience providing individual, family and couples therapy to both children and adults in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She has provided direct care services as a Therapeutic Visitation Monitor, Foster Care Therapist, Mobile Therapist, Family Based Therapist and Outpatient Therapist. Ms. Council enjoys helping others and looks forward to supporting and encouraging ISPA families to overcome challenges and maintain success.
Rachel Dinus, FASL Family Academic Support Liaison
Bio: Mrs. Dinus has an associate in Business Management from Butler County Community College. She also comes to ISPA with 12 years’ experience as a Learning Coach (LC) with K12. This is her first year on staff with K12.Mrs. Dinus runs a haunted house near her home and is very involved in every aspect of that from design to acting. She is a mother of one son who went to K12 schools from K-12 and graduated a year early. He is now in college working towards his degree and also going to professional wrestling school.
Lisa Eller, FAST Team
Lisa is currently the Middle School Advisor for K12/Insight PA, serving as a contributor on the FAST team. She attended The Ohio State University and earned a B.A. in Education from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. She is a CTA certified Coach with ICF accreditation and over 20 years of leadership, parenting and classroom teaching experience. Lisa combines her additional experiences as a private tutor, parenting teacher, community volunteer and mother of three college students to guide families in making positive, healthy choices. She believes that through a strong team approach to academic and emotional support, students can be equipped with the tools necessary to achieve the powerful goals they set for themselves.
Sally Krasevic, Family Engagement Coordinator Supervisor
Mrs. Krasevic received a B.S. in the Professional Studies of Criminal Justice at Elizabethtown University. Mrs. Krasevic brings to ISPA an extensive history in the field of social services with experience specifically in the fields of domestic violence, sexual violence and child protective services. Mrs. Krasevic has experience in individual counseling and running support group for adults and children.
Mrs. Krasevic was a member of The Keystone Crisis Response Team and has travelled nationally and internationally as a Disaster Response Volunteer. She brings to ISPA a wealth of knowledge and resources to assist and empower the students and families within the school.
