Enrollment and Attendance FAQs
Who is eligible to attend Insight PA Cyber Charter School (ISPA)?
Any student in grades K–11 who resides in Pennsylvania is eligible for full-time enrollment for the 2018–2019 school year. Grade 12 will be added for the 2019–2020 school year.
How many of my children can I enroll in ISPA?
Because ISPA provides the lesson plans and materials needed for grades K–11, many parents find it easy to enroll multiple children in the program.
What does it cost to attend ISPA?
ISPA is a public school, so there is no tuition. We provide a Pennsylvania-certified teacher and instructional materials. Students and families will be responsible for providing some common household materials (such as printer ink and paper). Our enrollment consultants can help address your technological and computer questions and needs.
What is the attendance policy?
As Pennsylvania public school students, all students enrolled in ISPA must comply with the state-required minimum number of 180 instructional days. Attendance is logged daily in the Online School by a parent or Learning Coach. For more information on attendance requirements please review the Attendance Policy contained in our Student and Parent Handbook.
Can our family take a vacation during the school year?
The school calendar includes school holidays or vacation time. Whenever possible, family vacations should align with school vacation days. Parents are encouraged to contact their student's teacher if they plan a vacation that does not coordinate with the school calendar. Online schooling allows students to learn from anywhere they can access the internet; however, students enrolled in ISPA must be full-time residents of Pennsylvania. Any learning times spent out of the state should be reported to the Attendance Office and the grade band principal.
