Letter from our CEO

Dear Insight PA School Community-

Due to the spread of the Coronavirus and Insight PA's commitment to the health and safety of our students, families, and staff, all field trips/social events will be canceled beginning the week of March 16th through Spring Break (April 6-10).  We will notify the Insight PA community when face-to-face events resume.  Insight PA's actions are consistent with those of state and federal agencies, health officials, colleges and universities.  We have been closely monitoring the coronavirus situation and will continue to do so -- always keeping the health and safety of our community at the forefront.

This is a challenging and rapidly evolving situation.  I understand that many people are feeling fear of the unknown and may be turning to the school for guidance.  I want to assure you that we are making the most educated decisions for our school community based on the information available.   Your support and cooperation is appreciated!  We are very fortunate to provide our students with a model of instruction that provides them a safe environment for learning.

More updates will be forthcoming as warranted.  Please be sure to see the resources and updates provided on the school website- www.pa.insightschools.net and our Facebook pages.

Please see the information provided below regarding the Coronavirus as well as the attached documents about talking to your children about this virus and how to stop the spread of the virus.

ABOUT COVID-19

From the PA Department of Health: Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses, some causing illness in people and others circulating among animals, including camels, cats and bats. The 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is a new virus that causes respiratory illness in people and can spread from person-to-person. This virus was first identified during an investigation into an outbreak in Wuhan, China.

Symptoms of the COVID-19 can include:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath

The symptoms may appear in as few as two days or as long as 14 days after exposure.

Prevention:

  • Cover coughs or sneezes with your elbow. Do not use your hands!
  • Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
  • Clean surfaces frequently, including countertops, light switches, cell phones, remotes, and other frequently touched items.
  • Contain: if you are sick, stay home until you are feeling better.
